More alternatives to iGoogle
Awesome New Tab PageWith iGoogle (the customized, internet home page for Google)going away next year, there are a few other suggestions for internet browser home pages. If you use Google Chrome as your browser (my personal favorite), there is a new extension called “Awesome New Tab Page”. It is definitely worth playing with. Your options will be lots of small app like programs or “widgets” for integration. It can bring much up to date information to your browser, along with practical shortcuts for your daily life. Try it – free, of course:Awesome New Tab PageNetvibes
Netvibes  is focused on business users these days – and their home page sells itself as a business tool – but Netvibes still offers free personalized home pages.
Netvibes offers a large selection of widgets for weather, email, to-do lists, web searches, news, and more. Unlike igHome and some of the other services here, Netvibes has a deep catalog of widgets – whatever you are looking for, you will probably find it.
uStart
uStart  works similarly to the other services here, allowing you to add widgets for Facebook, Twitter, tasks, TV shows, email, calendar events, weather, RSS feeds, and more. It’s a very complete solution. Whether you prefer it or Netvibes may just come down to which design you like most.
