Powerline adapters are devices that turn the electrical wiring in your home or office into a network cable. Basically instead of running cables throughout the ceiling (or on the floor!), you need only to be near an electrical outlet. There are 2 pieces, and many take maybe 5 minutes to install. One piece plugs into your router with an Ethernet cable and also into an electrical socket. The other piece plugs into any electrical socket within your home or office. You can connect your computer with an Ethernet cable to this piece and you will have a stronger signal than using your wireless connection. In my case, I used it to connect my television which has an Ethernet port so I can receive streaming video – as in Netflix, Amazon, etc… It worked flawlessly. Chrome Bookmarks Bar – I like to use the Bookmarks Bar for the fastest way to get to favorite websites. I can’t get them all on the screen at once, though, because there are so many of them. Right click any of the icons, then choose “Edit” and delete the text from the “Name” field. Then click Save. What is left on the bar is just the icon – removing extra space on the bar so more will fit. If you can recognize the website by the icon, you’ll save plenty of space.
