I have been using this feature on my iPhone for months and I recommend it to many. I think it is great now, but you will have even more options when the new iOS 26 comes out. For now, go to Apps from Settings. Look for the app called Phone. If you don’t see it, do a quick search. After clicking on it, look for a setting towards the bottom of the screen called “Silence Unknown Callers”. Your phone will not ring if the caller isn’t in your contact list. You will be notified of a missed call, but no ringing. In the next upgrade of the operating system (iOS 26), you will have another option. The caller will be asked a couple of questions, one being why they are calling, and you will have the option to allow the call or block it.

Here are a couple of tips to help speed up your phone:
Delete apps you aren’t using: Keeping apps on your phone that you don’t use not only take up space but will slow the phone down. There are multiple ways to delete an app, but one of the easist methods is to long-press the app’s icon until the app shortcut popup shows up. You will either see an “i” button or see App Info. Tap that and then Uninstall.
Eliminate old files: You may have forgotten about downloaded files or images someone sent, but to manage your phone’s storage and speed up the phone, eliminate them. Open the app drawer on your phone and look for “files”. Check your downloads folder. From there you can delete files or move them to Google Drive so they are not physically on your but they are accessible.You should also look at the file size of items in your downloads folder.
