Microsoft Word Tricks
It’s definitely well known that with a program as powerful as Microsoft Word that we don’t come close to using most of the features available to you. Here are a few that can make your documents better.
Emojis! – So easy! On your menu bar, click on Insert – Icons – then find tons of images/emojis/cartoons/images.
Templates – There may come a time when you need a specific layout or look to a document but you really don’t want to spend the time starting from scratch. OR, your designing skills are limited. When you create a new document, don’t skip over the templates that are shown on the page after New. Calendars, cover letters, brochures, flyers… Word will also check online for the exact type of documents you are trying to create.
Protect it with a password – I stress this often and it is easy to do. File – Info – Protect Document – Encrypt with Password. This isn’t just a good idea if emailing sensitive information, but even for password protecting a file on your computer.
