The question of the hour is “How will the tariffs affect the price of new technology?” The prices will go up, but we don’t know when or how much. Rather than rush to purchase a new phone, here are some ways to make your current one last longer.
Avoid extreme temperatures. Your phone should not be in temperatures below 32 degrees or above 95 degrees for a prolonged period of time.
You may need to rethink how you charge your phone. Charging your phone overnight may do damage. According to experts, keeping your phone charged between 20-80% or 0-80% would greatly extend the life of the battery. Newer models of some phones (iPhones, Galaxy or Pixel) have optimized charging features that allow you to set the charging to a max of 80%.Look for Battery in your settings.
Keep an eye on the storage. Make a point to offload apps that you don’t use. When you only have a small amount of available space, your phone’s processor has to work that much harder. If photos or videos are stored in text messages, they are taking up more space than is necessary.
