Instead of changing the resolution of your monitor to increase the size of icons, etc… go to Display Settings, scroll down, and change the Scale setting. This can make text and images look bigger or smaller on your screen without changing the resolution of the image itself. Pre-set values come in 25 percent increments, but you can set a custom value if you prefer (with a system reset). There’s also an option that will adjust just the text size.
Many programs come with their own scaling and text settings, especially text-heavy apps like browsers and text editors. Tweak them to your liking to find the most comfortable combination.
2. Snipping Tool
I probably use this feature at least once a day. Using Win+Shift+S at the same time brings up a small window allowing you to choose a rectangle or free form tool to screenshot a window, part of a window or a selection using your mouse. Once you have chosen the area you want, it is ready to paste into a document, etc…

Free Antivirus software
No reason to preach, everyone knows by now that Antivirus software is a must, no matter what type of pc you use – Windows or Mac. The two main internet providers in the St. Louis area are now both offering free software if you subscribe to their service.
AT&T – AT&T offers AT&T AntiVirus Plus which is powered by McAfee. You may download and install it on up to 4 computers. Be sure to uninstall any existing antivirus software, then rebooting your computer before downloading and installing the new free software. To install, go to AT&T AntiVirus Plus and select Download Now. Enter your user name and password – the AT&T internet service user name and password. Double click on the file you download and follow the prompts.
Spectrum – Spectrum offers Spectrum Security Suite. You may download and install it on up to 10 computers. The installation automatically uninstalls any existing antivirus software before installation.
From your Account Summary page, select the Your Services tab.
Under the Internet sub tab, select Go to Security Suite on the right.
Note: You can also access Security Suite from the bottom of the Account Summary page.
Choose Download Security Suite.
Select your operating system and enter a device nickname.
Select Download. The CharterNetworkInstaller.exe pop-up will open.
Choose Run.
Note: Security Suite automatically downloads and runs the AntiBot Scanner prior to installation. You may need to restart your computer if any harmful files are found. Learn more about the AntiBot Scanner.
