I always say that most of us don’t use 90% of the features in any software. With an abundance of devices now, things have snowballed. Here are a few features of Apple’s newest iPhone operating system.
NameDrop – With this feature, you can share your contact information by holding your iPhone next to someone else’s. To turn this feature on, navigate in Settings to General to AirDrop. Slide the button to green on the option called “Bringing Devices Together”. You will hold the top of your iPhone close to another iPhone.
Check In – This will automatically alert contacts of your choice that you’ve arrived safely at your destination. It can also share details about your route.
Voicemails – Voicemails can can be transcribed to appear in real time as text on your iPhone’s lock screen – making it easier to discreetly monitor calls. From Settings go to Phone and choose Live Voicemail.

Tweaks for Windows 11
I don’t think the overall look in Windows 11 is a huge change from Windows 10. Many users haven’t even noticed the differences. However, Microsoft has put a lot into the update with features that you probably won’t know are available. Here are a few features you should get to know. You can make your own decision as to whether or not you want the change. 1. The start button is now in the middle of your monitor instead of the far left. You can change it back to the far left easily. Settings – Personalization – Taskbar – Taskbar behaviors. There you should see the option labeled Taskbar alignment with a drop down menu. Change it from Center to Left if that works better for you. 2. You can turn off annoying notifications if they really are annoying to you. Windows 11 has some of their own, but many come from other apps on your computer. From Start to System to Notifications, turn off the ones that bother you.
3. Microsoft has its share of promotions popping up. Go to Settings – Privacy & Security – General. Disable “Show me suggested content in the Settings app”. You will also see additional options that you want to disable.
